For more than 30 years, I haven't just worked in this hospital, I grew up in it. Long before I became its veterinarian and owner, I was the young boy cleaning kennels after school. Today, it is my privilege to own and serve through the same practice that has cared for Miami's pets and families since March 28, 1986. While our name has changed to J&M Veterinary Services, our promise remains the same: Same Staff. Same Doctor. Same Love.

Raised in Miami, I honestly can't remember a time when I didn't love animals. Veterinary medicine was always where my heart belonged. Beginning at age 15, I worked my way through nearly every area of this hospital, from kennel assistant and receptionist to veterinary technician, and ultimately veterinarian and owner. Those experiences taught me that no job is too small and that exceptional patient care is only possible when an entire team works together with compassion and purpose.

Although our name has changed to J&M Veterinary Services to reflect this exciting new chapter, our mission has not. You'll still find many of the same familiar faces, the same doctor, and the same compassionate care that generations of Miami families have trusted since 1986. Same Staff. Same Doctor. Same Love. It's more than a slogan, it's our commitment to every client and every patient who walks through our doors.

After graduating from Miami Palmetto Senior High School, I attended Miami Dade College, Florida International University, and completed additional undergraduate coursework through the University of Florida before earning my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) in 2010. I later completed the requirements to become licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the United States.

I am proud to be a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), and the South Florida Veterinary Medical Association (SFVMA). I believe that lifelong learning is essential to providing the highest standard of care for every patient.

Outside the hospital, my greatest priorities are my faith and my family. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring nature, riding bicycles with my wife, watching sports, and training in practical shooting sports. Some of my favorite moments, however, are simply quiet Sundays spent at home with my family.

One of the greatest privileges of my career has been caring for multiple generations of families and their pets. Watching children grow up and return with pets of their own is a reminder that trust is earned over time and that the relationships we build are just as important as the medicine we practice.

At J&M Veterinary Services, my patients always come first, but I also believe a great veterinary hospital is built on a great team. My staff isn't just a group of coworkers, they're my extended family, and we hope every client feels like part of that family as well.
